Micro Needling

Micro Needling

Micro needling in Stamford is one of the newest treatments for scar tissue reduction and skin rejuvenation. This medical procedure involves the use of a pen-like device tipped with 12 fine needles. Micro needling can be used to treat a number of conditions, including scar tissue reduction and skin cell growth. This stimulation of cellular growth results in new tissue formation. An increase in blood supply from new capillary growth aids forming layers of elastin and collagen fiber, providing you with youthful skin. For a procedure with proven results, performed by our trained aesthetician, come to Stamford Anti-Aging and Weight Loss Center!

What does medical micro-needling involve?

Micro needling in Stamford is also called collagen induction therapy. This is because the procedure involves penetrating the skin's layers to a depth no greater than 2mm. This safe procedure compels the body to naturally create elastin fibers and new collagen in response.

After thoroughly cleaning the treatment area, your personal esthetician will apply a product specially designed to stimulate collagen production. A micro needling tip is disposable, and a new one is used with every procedure. The aesthetician will then run the pen along the treatment area in a single direction until the area has been fully treated.

What will I look like after micro needling?

Mild swelling, redness, bruising, and pinpoint bleeding may occur. This will lessen over the course of 48 hours, and results should be visible by week two, fully resolving over the course of several months.
